Mukhhtar and his diary. He regularly takes note of the important events of the village such as birth, death, and abduction.

Lovers meet outside the village. They generally see each other secretly. In villages, lovers are not allowed to have an affair publicly due to strict traditions. For this reason, they meet secretly in secluded places.

Deciding to escape. Bride kidnapping is mostly due to the woman's parents opposition to the marriage. In this case, the man cannot find any other solution than abducting the woman he loved. The abduction is mostly happening with the consent of the woman.

She is ready to escape. She sadly looks at home through the doorway before escaping in twilight.

Escape from the village. Lovers run away when everyone is asleep.

Lovers take shelter in Faik Agha's house. The title "Agha" means the leader of the community. Faik Agha protects runaway lovers from honor killings.

Faik Agha, community leader of the village, is known for protecting many runaway lovers and helping them get married.

Thinking on solution. Faik Agha decides to call the woman's father to convince him of marriage.

Wish tree. The woman ties a rag to the wish tree so that everything goes well. In this belief, women tie cloth and rags to trees to make their wishes and dreams come true.

Religious marriage. In order for the lovers to stay in Faik Agha's house, they must have a religious wedding. Otherwise, Agha will not host them in his house.

Spending time around the Agha's house. They have to stay at Agha's house until the woman's family makes a decision.

The father is convinced after speaking with Faik Agha on the phone.
